Team Nautilus Take On the GB Row Challenge

Team Nautilus Take On the GB Row Challenge

This June, Team Nautilus will take on the GB Row Challenge, a 2,000-mile non-stop, unsupported circumnavigation of mainland Great Britain.

Rowing in two-hour shifts around the clock, the six-person team will face some of the world's most challenging tidal systems and rapidly changing British weather conditions, all without support vessels or external assistance.

Alongside the physical challenge, the expedition will also collect valuable data on the health of the UK's coastal ecosystems, contributing to a long-term environmental dataset in partnership with the University of Portsmouth and The Crown Estate.

Team Nautilus is made up of environmental specialists, experienced rowers, a paramedic and former military personnel, united by a shared passion for adventure, endurance and environmental research.

Operating safely in remote and unpredictable environments requires preparation, planning and reliable equipment. Weather, tides and sea conditions can change quickly, and the team needs equipment they can trust throughout the challenge.

To support the expedition, the team has been equipped with a range of Lifesystems products, including the Waterproof First Aid Kit, Mountain Leader Pro Team Kit, Expedition MAX DEET and Intensity 580 Head Torch.

Speaking about the equipment, the team highlighted the importance of reliability and organisation when operating in an environment where conditions can change rapidly and self-sufficiency is essential.

The Lifesystems first aid kits have proven particularly useful thanks to their clear organisation and comprehensive contents, allowing essential items to be located quickly when needed. Meanwhile, the Intensity 580 Head Torch has provided dependable lighting during long night shifts on deck, continuing to perform despite exposure to heavy rain, salt spray and challenging conditions.

For Team Nautilus, confidence in their equipment allows them to focus on the challenge ahead, knowing they have reliable kit supporting them every mile of the journey.

Everyone at Lifesystems wishes Team Nautilus the very best as they take on the GB Row Challenge. We're proud to support the team and look forward to following their progress as they push through 2,000 miles of challenging waters around mainland Great Britain.
