Lifesystems and the BMC Unite to Support Mountain Safety

Lifesystems is pleased to announce a new two-year partnership with the British Mountaineering Council (BMC), focused on helping climbers, hill walkers and mountaineers stay safe and better prepared during their time outdoors.

The partnership brings together the BMC’s commitment to participation and safety with Lifesystems’ experience in designing outdoor safety and survival equipment for use in demanding environments. Together, both organisations will support the outdoor community with practical tools, education and resources aimed at safer adventures across the UK’s crags, hills and mountains.

A key focus of the partnership will be improving access to first aid and safety equipment, alongside raising awareness of outdoor health risks that can have a serious impact in remote environments, including tick bites and Lyme disease.

As the BMC’s Official Safety Product Supplier, Lifesystems will work closely with the organisation to support its community through safety-led initiatives, educational content and access to trusted outdoor equipment designed for real-world mountain use.

Lee Kenny, Head of Commercial at the BMC, said:

“This partnership with Lifesystems directly supports our Route to Adventure 2030 strategy, particularly our focus on developing skills for adventure. By equipping our volunteers and community with the right tools, knowledge and confidence, we’re helping more people to take part, build their skills and enjoy our activities safely and responsibly throughout their lives.”

Commenting on the partnership, Lifesystems Marketing Manager Tom Mahoney said:

“We’re pleased to be working with the BMC and supporting the climbers, hill walkers and mountaineers they represent. This partnership reflects our commitment to helping people stay safe in the hills and mountains, where the right equipment and preparation matter. Giving members access to our safety and first aid equipment is an important part of that, and we look forward to building on this partnership through continued support and education in the years ahead.”

Supporting the BMC Community

As part of the partnership, BMC members will also receive access to exclusive discounts across the Lifesystems range, helping them prepare for time in the hills and mountains with trusted safety and survival equipment.

The discount can also be used across the wider Lifesystems family of brands, including Lifeventure, Mountain Paws and LittleLife.
