A great hooped bivi. "A well made and quality bivi that is extremely simple to set up and is simply a bivi with a hoop. material quality it good and the mesh screen works well when you are in the bivi. So far I've not needed to zip up the door, only the mesh. With only the mesh you get a good nights sleep and plenty of room by your head to put your essentials like glasses while you sleep. The only thing that makes this 4 star is the method of entry. - there is no side zip, so you only have the door as an entry point and while it's possible to get your sleeping bag and mt into the bivi while you are outside you then have to get yourself into the bivi which means posting yourself through the door. when it's dry this is ok - you might have a few bits of grass on your feet once you've removed your boots but in the wet and the morning dew, it's impossible to exit without leopard crawling on your belly out of the bag, which is quite a maneuver when you have just woken up and usually allows me to gather the mourning dew on my clothing and socks as I stand up. (maybe an exit ground sheet or side zip would help. Other than that it's light and waterproof and contributes to a great nighs sleep once you are in it!" — Robert P. (4/5)
