Bugs banished "After ages muddling through with a net draped over a popup frame I upgraded to this thing of beauty. No more mozzies or midges. Easy to assemble and fits my mattress inside with ease. At 5’6” I had plenty of headroom when sitting up. Depending on your setup you can use it inside a larger tent as extra protection. And easy to pitch a tarp over if you need. I have also used it inside, without the guys, and it was excellent. Even a small pocket in roof for the essentials. Packed up small again but did struggle to get it back into its bag. Easily solved by storing everything in a small dry bag." — Nanci D. (5/5)
Quality Kit "Great little bit of gear. Had it up under my Rab Siltarp today. Perfect" — John B. (5/5)
I'll start with the only "I'll start with the only grievance I have, that patch of fabric on top of the dome which functions as pocket. One of the best things when sleeping in the open air (e.g. on the beach) is dozing off while stargazing and that patch blocks a big chunk of the sky view. Plus a pocket up there is not super practical. I'd rather have it somewhere close to my head while lying down. That being said I'm really satisfied with this product. The net is really fine and I can't imagine any insect entering whatsoever. Easy to set up and even though the instructions advise putting down the pegs when outdoors I didn't find it necessary as it is a net, not a tent, so not affected much by wind (while I was inside that is). The problem with the too big eyelets seems to have been addressed in the newest version as the end of the poles fit snuggly in them so no workaround with the D-rings or otherwise is necessary. I am 1.72cm tall and found it spacious enough to keep my shoes and a small backpack inside too. All in all, happy camper!" — George (4/5)
I love the look of this and "I love the look of this and would like to be able to buy a 2-person version of this and also would like it to come with a fly sheet/cover for rain protection." — Jo I. (5/5)
I used my GeoNet when i was "I used my GeoNet when i was camping up Argyll and Bute in the summer of 2019 and it was a godsend for protection against the midges and enjoying the stunning views, I also took a tarp just incase it rained but fortunately it didn't so it wasn't needed, I think the Geonet is a great piece of kit from LifeSystems and i wouldn't hesitate to buy another one if the need arises." — Robert C. (5/5)
Of all the nets that I have "Of all the nets that I have used through the years, this is undoubtedly the best ! Compact, light, easy to put up and fold away and the frame keeps the net off the body. I've used this net in Afghanistan, South Sudan and Somalia. For me, if I'm going to a mosquito or biting insect prevalent area, carrying this net is a no-brainer." — Mike T. (5/5)
Used during an humanitarian "Used during an humanitarian deployment to Indonesia. Perfect for Clement weather and built well enough to lay a tarp over in the event of rain. Good head height and nice roof pocket." — Rick (5/5)
Very nice product but only "Very nice product but only tested at home during the preparation of my next travel. Easy to assemble and to disassemble. When packed it can be put in the side pocket of my 50 litres backpack" — Jean E. (5/5)
Review of GeoNet Single Mosquito Net by Jeff "I should be giving this product a 5 as a while back i used this Geonet for over 200 nights camping in Africa ... it was brilliant! I'm taking half a star off because of the changes they have made. The newer style has dispensed with weight / reduced the packing length by using poles that aren't designed for the existing tent. The eyelets on the webbing in each corner used to snuggly fit the ends of the thicker old poles .. now they don't. A few reviewers below noted this issue and came up with a solution which i couldn't seem to replicate to my own satisfaction. Instead the answer is to use the tops from Bic Biros to help the new poles fit snug into the older wider eyelets. If your tent does not have the eyelets (I originally received a tent one without them) then you can sew an angled channel for the Biro tops into the webbing .. took me about an hour .. and i'm rubbish at sewing." — Jeff (4/5)
