Water Purification

Explorers and travellers will inevitably be drawn to areas where levels of technology and hygiene are not the same as they are used to at home.

Water supplies may contain bacteria, parasitic cysts (like Giardia) and viruses. This can lead to serious stomach upsets, dehydration and other illness.

Chlorine and Chlorine Dioxide are both very effective water disinfectants. The taste of Chlorine can be removed by using neutralising tablets once the purification process is complete. Alternatively, our Chlorine Dioxide Treatment offers greater protection than that of Chlorine and has little or no after taste.
