Lifesystems first aid kits are used throughout the Surviving Adventure
course, meaning that all training is relevant to the Lifesystems kit that
you are taking with you. The Lifesystems design team have worked closely
with Prometheus this year to optimise the interior layout of all of our
first aid kits. The benefit of working with senior expedition medics is
that in an emergency in a remote environment, they understand what really
works and what doesn’t, and what you need to get hold of quickly and what
you don’t. As a result you will find that everything in these kits has a
practical use in an emergency, and all of it is very easy to lay your hands
on in a hurry. Because of the extra training you receive on the course,
you will also have the opportunity to purchase an advanced medical pack
containing items that you will receive training on.
You will be required to bring your own head torch and suitable outdoor clothing
(including wet weather clothing and footwear) for the outdoor series. All
other equipment will be provided.
